The paradise of romance
In the long journey of life, we all wander aimlessly like a kite without a string, In such stages of life of solitude, we find peace in travel especially travels to the lap of nature. Such adventures give the lost meaning of life and peace to struggling souls. Meghamalai reminds me of my graduation days, and this trip was planned since Meghamalai is approximately 100 to 110 kilometers from Madurai Kamaraj University where I was staying. Meghamalai is a buffer zone of the Periyar tiger reserve, surrounded by lakes, natural beauties, and gold-colored rivers.
It was a trip for revelation. The bumpy bus ride from Chinamannur in the Theni district to Meghamalai was greeted with beautiful side views of mountains, farmlands, and the elegance of Tamil Nadu village life. All of these sights drove me to another realm, and I thought this is how Meghamalai embraces people. 
I contacted the locals and planned a homestay in Manalar, a village in Meghamalai surrounded by a spectacular landscape of the tea estate and mountains.
That night was filled with deep silence, and a sky full of stars reminded me of missing someone somewhere along my life's path, and the breeze touched me, soothing my heart and comforting me.

The next morning was a trek to upper Manalar, which was filled with full of excitement and wonders of nature and was fortunate enough to see a herd of elephants grazing in a distance, and every mile I finish gives me an excitement to venture more. When you reach the summit of the mountain and stand there wondering the destiny, it inspires you with the euphoria of love.

Manalaru Dam was an ideal location for spending some time alone in nature. My photo keen eyes and soul were drawn to the tranquil lake and the mist-covered gorgeous picturesque backdrop. Lying on the lawn near the dam, listening to the birds, and not caring about the pug marks of a leopard nearby were both unnerving and exhilarating.
The elation of meeting my soul mate was short-lived, and the agony of parting hit me hard; she still waits for me in the misty mountains. I left the euphoria-filled state with all great memories and tranquility, and my heart bangs until next time!
